[MLB-WIRELESS] DWL 900AP+ Firmware?

Hello,

I have just upgraded my 900AP+ with the latest firmware from the dlink 
site, v2.61.

I notice that one of the differences between the old firmware, 2.5 and the 
latest, 2.61 is that they have
set a maximum transmit power level down 2db, from 100% 19dbm to 100% 17dbm 
(50mW).

Could this be because at the 19dbm the unit was unstable????  Has anyone 
had a look on a spec analyser
at the output from the 900AP+ at the 19dbm vs 17dbm levels?
