[MLB-WIRELESS] Node GHO - ROCKS!

Tonight at 7pm I (node DBF) went onto my balcony. I am 16.75km's from
node GHO and it was raining. I turned on my ipaq5450, with built in
802.11b, and discovered GHO. Unfortunately I was unable to connect, I
was getting wet and so was the ipaq. I only tried once.

I am keen to test further. Node BFI, myself and one other are putting
together a link atm. BFI or myself will prolly run an AP (depends on my
better halfs perception of the antenna)and then we will look at
connecting to other node networks. Yet to sort out any details.

Congratulations must go to the participants in node GHO.

Well done

Devon

Hey, if the SSID is nodegho.wireless.org.au, and if people are going to
be finding it whilst wandering the streets, then maybe someone should
setup a website on the internet with that address. It would be nice to
let people know about what Melbourne Wireless is if they accidentally
stumble upon Node GHO.

I'm gonna get on my roof tomorrow with my big dish and give it stumbling
it a go.

Dan
