Sure but real computers (Im awaiting the flames) allow you to manipulate
the computer, via serial, from as low down as the bios. The list of
machines capable of this includes suns, alphas, macs and some SBCs.

On an Eden you need the thing to have booted pretty much before you can do
anything over serial. Least it seems that way for my 800!
