 Just saw a kit in Silicon Chip to do the same thing. Thing you can buy the
DIY kit from jaycar or dick smith or something.

Just a note about something interesting I saw in this month's "Amateur
Radio" magazine.  They had a circuit for a 12-24V DC-DC converter with
around 2A output.  Fairly straightforward, from the looks of it.  However,
the circuit can do around 16-24V from a 12V source.  Perfect for running
laptops from the car.  I might knock one up myself.

Anyone for some mobile lappy power?

Also, anyone with PCB manufacturing equipment who wants to have a go at
producing some boards?
