Barry,

The problem here is that users outside Melbourne Wireless (eg. A DSL
provider who has free VIX) don't have inward visibility of the MW
networks/nodes. We are currently using NAT to enable access from MW
members -> VIX resources, but traffic in the other direction presents an
issue because we are using private IP space on Melbourne Wireless.

We cannot advertise this private space to vix - most providers would
filter advertisements of this type. One possible solution is to use a
1:1 NAT at vix using public address space (one per node, etc) - if you
know anyone with a spare /24 block of IP's, we can use this to provide
inward visibility to Melb wireless from VIX.

Tom

Umm, what chance of us regional types on VIX member networks being able
to tunnel a connection to, oh say, node BHH? I'm not charged for VIX
traffic.
