If someone's serious about this, ausbone would be worth talking to
possibly - they provide bandwidth between peering points in australia
fairly cheaply.

Find a friendly ISP at each end, hook them into the wireless mesh here
and in sydney, and build a tunnel over the ausbone link to carry
inter-network traffic.

There may be cheaper ways these days, but joining the IX'es strikes me
as an interesting idea anyway, pre-supposing a decent wireless mesh...
