Hello Paul,

exchange does nothing... yes you could do that, however "over the back
fence" you might as well run cat5e...

cat5 is rated up to 100m, however some *can* do 150m+ with the decent
hubs/switches and cat5e cable etc...

of course you could always run cat5 for dsl, having 8 wires
technically could get 4Mbits (modems start getting a bit pricey then
as well)
