[MLB-WIRELESS] merits of simple omni design

HAd a look and couldn't see anywhere that says how much gain it has.

Any radio type people able to have a estimate?

Hi,

I have seen on the web a very simple omni design at:

http://flakey.info/antenna/omni/quarter/

Now I guess such a simple design wouldn't be as effective as a larger
omni. The author states it is way better than the stock tiny antennas
available, just curious if anyone has any opinions on how this design
stacks up (i.e. it is better than nothing, but how much better?).
