WTF are we talking about directory services for?
That is completely irrelevant.

Lies.
It might break some RFCs, but there's nothing stopping us from advertizing
names for RFC1918 addresses via a globally accessible DNS server.

I think it's far better to use a multihomed nameserver with one globally
accessible interface.
