Interesting observation, and it seems to be part and parcel of the kinds of 
people that technical hobbies attract.  Ham radio has had a lot of the same 
problems that we sometimes see here, so let's be aware of that and put our 
best face on for the public.

Social airs and graces and salesmanship may not be our strong points, but 
we should make our best effort... :)
