Well, I'd say it is pretty obvious that to do this properly involves,
um, a ladder, a Dolphin and a mobile.

Exactly, it will reduce the number of people you want to contact to see
if line-of-sight is possible.  No point climbing up on the roof to see a
huge hill in the way. 


Note that I'm not saying that the maps needs it, or even that it is
doable, but if it is an easy option to include topographical info in the
displayed data, it would be really nifty.  

Does anyone have a huge-format topographical map of melbourne they could
bring along to a meeting? Just a thought...
