Rick
You have a valid point that the card may not work under XP so today I
installed the Ricoh PCI card (currently available on the TIB as a
replacement for the Nokia deal) and the Enterasys $50.00 card into an XP Pro
enabled pc.
Both the PCI cradle and the wireless card were picked up and installed
without any intervention from me ie no driver disks required. All i had to
do was double click the icon in the task bar and set the IP, essid and
ad-hoc mode.
I was then able to ping between the laptop and the XP machine.
I took a screen shot which i will have available on a website somewhere
soon.
I hope this makes you a little more comfortable with the purchase should you
decide to make it.
regards
Matt Chipman
