I've had success with 2 configurations (out of 2 tried so far! :) ).

One is a Texas Instruments P133 notebook with 40MB RAM. That one runs Red
Hat 7.2, NE2000 clone NIC, Enterasys WLAN card with Enterasys drivers.

The other is an Acer P166 with 23MB RAM. This runs Mandrake 8.2, and also
has the same combination of NICs as the TI system. Both work well as
wireless routers. The Acer is also configured for WEP and is a firewall
(nothing but tunnels allowed thru). :)
