I think there are two separate issues here. The concept of sharing of users
internet connections, which seems to be a bit of a grey area in terms of
broadband AUPs etc, and the idea of users making their caches available in a
peer/neighbour/indexed system or whatever the final topology is.
Seems to me that the second issue is rather doable as you're not sharing
your connection per se. You are only giving people access to information
that you have retrieved for yourself your not giving them access to you
internet connection. The stickier situation occurs when you allow people
say outside of your household use your (for example) optusnet cable
connection to obtain something which you dont already have cached. This
would be in clear breach of optus' AUP. They might never find out but if
they do you're gonna have a hard time coming up with a legit excuse
