[MLB-WIRELESS] FLASH ENTRASYS CARDS at Friday meet??

The way the newer firmware is designed, any new client releases will apply
temporary functionality patches/fixes to the card only while it is in use.
Remove the card, and you still have the older firmware on it. This way, you
can run the newer drivers, or roll them out on a large group of machines and
not have to upgrade each card individually.

This is the way they do the Host AP firmware on the cards when you insert
them into an AP-1000/AP-2000. Remove the card, and it's still a client
card.

Unfortunately, you will still need to do the firmware update for running it
on an unsupported OS. Same deal with the station firmware on the cards in
APs - which makes life hard when you mount them on a roof somewhere and need
to do a firmware upgrade...
