Well, I built mine.  It seems to work, though getting mixed results so 
far.  Of 3 remotes (all of which work), only one seems to be 
recognised.  Another of the 3 was listed and had a config file as well. :-/

Anyway, I'll soon have an infra-red controlled Linux box. :-)
