I am but a ho to Slashdot's pimp.
(Translate this as I saw this on Slashdot, where I see lots of wireless
stuff that keeps me going back to the site)

Wireless Broadband In a Box
Non-line-of-sight wireless systems promise strong signals for high-speed
Internet access
By Brad Schrick, Contributing Editor & Michael J. Riezenman, Senior
Engineering Editor
[6.wire.f3] Despite all the talk about broadband, only about7 percent, or
7.5 million, of U.S. households subscribed to high-speed Internet access
services as of last June, according to a February report issued by the U.S.
Federal Communications Commission (FCC). And the situation isn't much
different elsewhere. Only a few countries with much smaller populations
report somewhat higher percentages.
