It can be very useful for accounting.  Even if you don't want to bill
them, knowing the usage patterns of your users might be useful information
for resource management.  Big Brotherish, maybe, but sysadmin is like that
(and discretion is a good attribute in a sysadmin).

Of course, at home you don't have management people to impress with pretty
graphs.  ;)
