[MLB-WIRELESS] meshing

Hi,

I think I missed the first part of this thread, but from what I gather
you were talking about handing out root access and the pros/cons of it.

For what its worth, you can get a program called "Super" which when
configured properly will allow a user to execute a command via the super
program which in turn runs the actual program with su permissions.

Ie: set up a super command called addanewuser which would then run the
useradd program.
This would allow the person to log in and add users, which might be
handy if you wanted to set up samba access to a unix box, and needed
user auth for access.

You can find more info about it by searching google for "super.tab" or
there are a couple of rpms on www.rpmfind.net.

I used it for a webserver where I needed to run shell scripts with su
permissions for a couple of php pages. But I did not want the web server
running as root etc...

Grokk.
