Dear all,

Unfortunately, I will be travelling interstate on this Thursday January
10th, and hence will not be able to attend the BBQ on Friday. This means
that the convenor is now the gracious Steven Haigh - thanks once again
Steve... =)

Details are:
------------
BBQ starts Friday 7:00pm as planned.
Confirmation e-mail deadline is now Wednesday 5:00pm AT THE VERY LATEST.
Food is still going to be provided to those who confirm on time.
Anyone may attend, mailing list subscribers can eat for free.
Confirmation e-mails go to the same address and must have the correct
subject "MLB-Wireless January meet" or will not get processed. Please click
on the following URI:

We are still looking for anyone who can do a talk/presentation (without a
PC/projector: bring your laptop!) on any aspect of wireless technology. Why
not do a talk on one of the following topics or sub-topics:
* Security (WEP, VPN, intrusion detection, signal sniffing...)
* Signal propagation (reflections, absorption, range, reliability,
interference...)
* Cards/APs (manufacturers, old/new technologies, standards/rfcs, test
gear...)
* Antennae (designs, strengths/weaknesses, mounting, cables, site
selection...)
* Software (signal meters, signal sniffing, mapping...)

These are only some suggestions of course! If anyone is thinking about
giving a talk, please send e-mail to the mailing list and co-ordinate with
Steven Haigh.

Cheers,
Tyson.
