Cross posting from the Oz-ISP list. Don't know anything about these
cards, but the $200 price tag is more than appealing.

Dale,

I have half a dozen Cabletron cards for sale.
They are the same as Orinoco/Wavelan cards.

11Meg 802.11b But the use the Hermes chipset not the Prism2. (sorry)
15db output , 13 channels, etc....
But they have the external antenna plug, and are very well supported on
all BSD/linux/x86/MS platforms.

$200 each inc, or take offers...

Regards
William.

Hi all

Subject line says it all, I'm looking to buy a second-hand 802.11b PCMCIA
card. Preferably one with a prism2 chipset, but I'll consider cisco
fairynet units. Preferably also one with support for an external
antennae. Must work under FreeBSD.

If anyone has something fitting the above description and want to offload
it, reply off-list please..

Offers to sell me new equipment at or above RRP, complete with
cut-and-paste description from the Cisco website, will result in the
offending gimp being flogged to death with a wet cat : )
