G'day Barry,
The "right stuff" to use is: Self-Amalgamating Tape.

Where do you buy it? Well probably the best source is a boat supply
place, a quick Google found... http://www.oceanplanet.com.au/repairs.htm
which sells a 5 meter roll for $12.00. Antenna supply places will sell
it too you too as might electrical wholesalers. If you find a good
source please let the list know.

On my N-type join at the top of the pole I used "good 'ol black
insulation tape", and lots of it but when my install becomes more
permanent and the access point is up there I will use the self
amalgamating tape.

I have removed self amalgamting tape from someone elses 2.4Ghz
connectors before nad after its been on for a few months it becomes...
well... self amalagamating! (read: I had to cut it off with a blade.)

Cheers,
               Andy.

Need ideas for how to keep moisture out of a length
of LMR-400 running into an n-connector. Are there any heat-shrink
plastic
collars or something?
