[MLB-WIRELESS] Alloy WL-300 Firmware update - much improvement on SMB browsing.

Just downloaded the firmware update from Alloy this afternoon, and applied
it to my Alloy WL-300 pcmcia card. Boy, did it make a difference! Just
browsing the network used to take ages, waiting for the explorer window to
populate with the folders etc. Now it flies through like it should.
My set up:
Apple Airport II in Cupboard upstairs, Stock-standard unit, 2nd edition.
(Snow).
iMac with Airport II card... currently residing in daughters bedroom.
Toshiba Laptop with the Alloy pcmcia card. - Downstairs in office.
No antennae in use, I get great signal strength/quality when in the office
downstairs, and fair when I'm at the extreme end of the house from the AP.
The firmware upgrade really made a difference; I'd nearly given up on the
Alloy card. As soon as I get the Lucent cards, pigtails, etc. (how're they
going, Ryan?), I'll be able to do a comparison.
Rob.
