Peter,
This info is from the "low impact" telecommunications
legislation. Guyed is the same as free standing.
There is a 5m pole above the rooftop with antenna attached that
falls under the local Victorian act, this is
the "Vic Telecode" catagory, perhaps you can use this , you would
need to supply drawings to the council.

damm,
where does that info come from and what do you mean by free
standing mast. does that mean if its got guy wires or something i
can go higher??

You can't go ore than 3m above the highest point on the house
or 8m above ground if it's a free standing mast.

Ok,
after just getting up on my roof again and realiseing just
how high im going to have to get i think i have got to start
saving for a mast of some sort.
Does anyone know how high you can go without getting
permission etc from the council or how i would go about getting
permission from the council.
