if i was buying a card now, i'd get either a cisco lmc352 or a lucent
orinoco or clone. they have the best receive sensitivity of any cards, and
imho that's just as important as power output. both work in linux, have
antenna jacks, pretty sure both can wep sniff, cisco is 100mW/lucent is
30mW, don't think either will do ad-hoc though (need prism2 so far), both do
11mbps, and the lucent is cheap(er).
