[MLB-WIRELESS] [Fwd: 802.11a love.]

from the seattlewireless list, initial 802.11a tests sound pretty bad.

After a fresh install of w2k, I was able to get the proxim 802.11a working.
Notes:

1) I can't get X2 to work.
2) From 3 feet apart, the data rates fluctuate between 36 and 54 megabits.
Moving the laptops apart does not increase stability.
3) hubba hubba. the network is faster than the hard drives in my laptops. :)
4) Tons of retries. Hundreds per second during file copies.
