I've been using a DWL-65 with XP for a week or two now. Which driver did
you use for the Dlink? I tried the one avaialbel on their website that
is an XP release but it hasn't worked so far. And yes setting the
parameters of the card has been disabled to but a few settings.

Solution? I rolled back to version 1.32. This brings back the old
patrameter settings for keys, etc. But it looks like the native XP
support for 802.11b isn't fucntioning. But hey it works anyway. I'm
still waiting for Dlink to release more on their XP drivers.

Meanwhile, I have no solution ot your range problems ;-)
