this is an extremely dubious situation, it is *believed* that
3com approached the relevant bodies and made a donation, IIRC.

now it is not in the dns standard and will break most dns servers ...
i have tried, but with very little success, it may work with
NT 4 domain name servers, but thats no excuse to try!
