This cat who is based in Melbourne http://www.compulabs.dhs.org/Clearance.php?category=Wireless%20Networking

has some cheap Nokia 2Mbps stuff going. The A020 Access Point is $210 and can be upgraded to 11Mbps if you can
find the the fast Nokia card in Oz. Nevertheless a good price. Also has a kit for $310 which includes a card
and the same A.P.

Extensive web searching is inconclusive as to what external antenna connector these things run but Nokia do
make a range of external antennas which you could hack. Can't find any info on the web about whether the cards
can be used with Linux but if you are running an A.P. who cares.

The Nokia's have an interesting repeater mode in which they can link two wireless networks together.
