Thanks.
The need for two units was only if Residential gateways were no longer
available with modems.
The first unit would be the gateway and the second unit would be a wireless
access point and nothing more.

Thanks for the advice though....that really helps.

Don't fully understand the need for two units and this does potentially 
cause issues, especially with the residential gateways.
