they connect to an aerial built into the case of your ibook/imac/powermac,
although conceivably we could hack them for use with linux/intel
systems....
you can pick up second-hand imacs for about $800 now, although i'm not sure
if they are the airport compatible ones...  all ibooks are compatible (i
think)
