Hi all,

A quick status update to the status of the project and recent changes
that may affect you.

1) The EL7 Xen 4.5.0 & Kernel packages have been promoted to the new el7
repo from the el7-testing repo. After several months in testing, these
have not yet triggered any bug reports and seem somewhat stable in my
testing. As always, if you come across anything, please report it to the
mailing list - and report a bug on the tracker: http://xen.crc.id.au/bugs

2) A new kernel-xen-release package has been pushed out. Due to some
internal changes in making things simple going forwards, revision 9 of
the kernel-xen-release package can be installed on both EL6 and EL7. It
will detect the OS version on install and configure
/etc/yum.repos.d/kernel-xen.repo for the repositories for your OS
version. To facilitate this, the mirrorlist references have changed to
reflect which OS version is being utilised. As this has the potential to
break customised files, the upgrade will save any changed files to
kernel-xen.repo.rpmsave on installation.

If you reference a custom mirror for installation / upgrades, you may
need to add this reference back in manually.

3) The web site (http://xen.crc.id.au) now shows the status for Xen 4.5
packages in the EL7 tree.

4) The kernel-xen package now supports installation into a Xen DomU. It
auto-generates a /boot/grub/grub.cfg file which you should reference in
your DomU config file for pygrub / pv-grub.

5) Internal changes and optimisations in the build process, as well as a
new push queue for dealing with embargoed XSA reports means that in most
situations updated packages are available on au1/us1 mirrors within 60
seconds of the embargo ending. This is a huge step forwards from the
previous manual push of embargoed packages.

6) The EL6 kernel-xen will soon be pushed to v3.18 after positive
testing results. It can run on both bare metal, as the Dom0 or a DomU.
It is currently available in the el6-testing repo for those wishing to
do further testing before it gets pushed to the main el6 repo.

As always, the mailing list is here for questions, feedback and
discussion of packages.
