I didn't do anything special to make it a symlink in the same directory. It was a fresh install just was previously running Xen. Interesting.

There should also be a link in /etc/ to it. The script currently only  
looks for /etc/grub.conf - therefore if it doesn't exist, it won't find  
anything to change.  

I'll look at adding support for /boot/grub/grub.conf or  
/boot/grub/menu.lst as well - however in theory, /etc/grub.conf should  
exist for all EL6 installs...
