Sure, you can use 'yum downgrade xen' to go back to 4.1.2 - however I 
have not been maintaining these and they contain quite a few known 
security vulnerabilities. As such, I certainly would not run them.

If you run "xm create blah -n", does it throw any syntax errors or such?

What do you get when you attach the console straight away using 'xm 
create blah -c'?

Pasting the entire debug output doesn't really gain much - as there is 
usually not much in the way of output that is helpful if the DomU won't 
even start.

I'm also wondering if you may have better luck on the Ubuntu forums for 
other people running Ubuntu under Xen. There may even be people on this 
list that have more experience than me running Ubuntu...

Personally, I wouldn't run a pre-made image sourced from somewhere else 
either - but thats just me....
